SIETAR Europa invites you to help shape the future of our next Congress
We are opening a new Call for Location and Venue proposals for the next SIETAR Europa Congress. We are seeking host cities and venues that reflect our shared values: sustainability, accessibility, inclusion, and strong local engagement.
We invite Expressions of Interest from individual SIETAR members as well as from National SIETAR organisations who would be interested in hosting the SIETAR Europa Congress. Our ambition is clear: to identify a strong, viable location swiftly and to deliver a SIETAR Europa Congress within the 2027 calendar year.
Hosting a SIETAR Europa Congress is a unique opportunity to:
- showcase your city, institution, or region to an international, interdisciplinary audience
- strengthen collaboration between SIETAR members, National SIETARs, universities, and local partners
- actively contribute to advancing SIETAR Europa’s commitments to sustainability, accessibility, and intercultural dialogue
How the Selection Process Works
To make participation manageable and transparent, the selection process will take place in two clearly defined phases:
Phase 1 – Expression of Interest (EOI) - Finished 1st March
This initial phase is intentionally light-touch. It allows potential hosts to propose a city and outline their initial thinking, while receiving early feedback from the Selection Committee before investing time in a full proposal.
Phase 2 – Formal (Detailed) Submission
Applicants invited to proceed will be asked to submit a comprehensive proposal covering the city, venue, facilities, accessibility, sustainability considerations, costs, and local support arrangements.

We particularly encourage proposals that:
- enable sustainable travel options and minimise the Congress carbon footprint
- offer inclusive, barrier-free access and support diverse participant needs
- build on strong local SIETAR involvement and partnerships with universities or other institutions.
